José Luis Terreros Corrales

Co-Founder

José Luis Terreros Corrales is a Mexican national from Puebla and co-founder of New York Bay Capital, LLC, as well as its predecessor firm — a platform on which he has worked since 2013 to build a boutique investment banking practice focused on cross-border transactions, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic solutions for companies with ties between the United States, Mexico and Latin America.

Throughout his career, he has been responsible for raising capital and structuring investments around the world, participating in the identification, structuring and coordination of opportunities for companies, investors and governments in Mexico and Latin America, as well as projects with strong regional and cross-border growth potential.

His areas of expertise and proven execution are concentrated in agribusiness and aerospace, sectors in which he brings operational experience, strategic vision, and the ability to articulate capital, technology, institutional alliances and growth opportunities.

He is also an investor through his family office, JLTC House, SAPI de CV, from which he pursues early-stage investment opportunities, participating as an angel investor and in pre-seed and seed rounds.

His experience combines investment banking, fintech entrepreneurship, economic analysis, international agribusiness, applied aerospace development, early-stage investing and the building of business ecosystems. He brings a practical understanding of the Latin American market and a strategic perspective for connecting capital, operations, technology and corporate growth.

José Luis is the founder of Terrain Technologies, SAPI de CV, a Mexican fintech that develops artificial intelligence agents and smart devices to transform access to financial services.

Through his company Space JLTZ, José Luis has also served as organizer of the NASA Space Apps Challenge since 2020, in collaboration with the Mexican Space Agency and NASA, with the aim of empowering Mexican universities to participate in space innovation projects, including the assembly and launch of nanosatellites.

His academic background integrates economics, entrepreneurship, innovation and international agribusiness. He studied Economics at Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, is currently pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Puebla, and holds an executive extension from Harvard Business School in International Agribusiness.

At New York Bay Capital, José Luis provides leadership in capital raising, regional opportunity development, alliance building and investment structuring, with a particular focus on agribusiness, aerospace and sectors with high cross-border growth potential.

José Luis resides in Mexico with his wife and children.
